Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!

Dear Preschool Families,

We are thrilled to welcome you and your children to a new year of discovery, learning, and growth at Lakota preschool. As we embark on the 2024-2025 school year, we look forward to creating memories, building friendships, and fostering a love for learning that will last a lifetime.

This year is set to be filled with exciting activities, engaging lessons, and plenty of opportunities for our students to explore their interests and talents. Our dedicated staff are eager to introduce a variety of fun, educational themes and activities that will captivate your child's imagination.

We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is key to the success of our students. We encourage communication between home and school through newsletters, the SeeSaw app, parent-teacher conferences, phone calls, emails, and attendance at special events throughout the year. Your support and participation in your child’s educational experience are invaluable to us.

I’d like to give you a few updates and important date reminders as we approach the start of school. 

If your child will be attending one of our preschool classrooms, your child’s teacher will reach out by 8/12 with a welcome email. We will be holding an Open House for classroom students and their parents on 8/14. AM students and families will attend from 5:00-5:30, PM students will attend from 6:00-6:30. Families will receive a red folder that will include important information regarding the start of the school year. The school nurse will also be available for anyone needing to speak with her regarding medical needs. We will again have a staggered start for our preschoolers. AM students' first day of attendance will be on 8/21, PM students’ first day will be 8/22 (no AM students this day). All students will attend beginning 8/26. For tuition students, information regarding payment of tuition fees will be forthcoming. Transportation information, including car line procedures will be forthcoming as well. 

If your child is receiving Itinerant services, you should receive contact from your child’s service provider(s) by 8/16. Services for Itinerant students will begin 8/21 and will be dependent on the schedule agreed upon by you and your child’s service providers. 
There are no supply lists for classroom or itinerant students. Occasionally throughout the school year, staff will request donations of basic items (i.e. clorox wipes, paper towels, tissues, etc.) or consumable educational materials(playdough, glue, etc.).

We, at Lakota preschool, cannot wait to see the incredible growth each child will achieve this year.
