Hello Preschool Families!

Welcome to preschool 2023-2024! Our staff is very excited to welcome our new and returning students and families! 

First, let me introduce a couple of our preschool team members that will be important for communications. For those who don't know me, I am Diane Keene, Preschool Director. I have worked in Lakota since 1997 as a speech/language pathologist, teacher on special assignment, and Preschool Director since 2021. As a long time educator, I believe relationships should come first in education, relationships with families, students, and staff. Mariah Schmeig is our preschool compliance specialist. She works closely with preschool staff and families and is a great resource for topics such as EZPay, enrollment, OneLogin access, family events, etc. 

We look forward to seeing families of classroom students at the Preschool Open House on Tuesday August 15th. AM students will attend 5:00-5:30 and PM from 6:00-6:30. Classroom teacher assignments, session (AM/PM) assignments, as well as building assignments (VanGorden Elementary or Liberty Early Childhood) will be posted in your OneLogin account, under HAC, by Monday, August 7th. Special transportation information will also be posted at this time. Families of students receiving Itinerant special education services will receive communication from your child's team the week of August 14th.
